Universities and Educational Institutions across the country are increasingly being challenged with regard to the “employability” of their students. A study by McKinsey Global institute suggests that India will face a shortage of 1.3 Crore million skilled employees by 2020. Educational institutes are therefore focused on improving their courses in an effort to bridge the large gap between the skills potential employee’s possess and that of corporate requirements.
Samanvaya Trust is evaluating alternative methodologies to improve quality of students on employability skills. The Trust has assessed a need for skill development programs for Undergraduates, Graduates, Post Graduates to improve the rate of success of student placements in industry.

The workshop on Communication Skill helps students ensure that communication is a two way process where they will learn to construct clear, concise messages, listen to improve communication and manage non verbal behavior to reinforce the intent of the message.

More than 4 million students graduate every year but less than 30% are employable! Because they don’t know how utilise available right resources to prepare and enough knowledge to choose the right job. Hence Samanvaya is trying to enhance employability by designing efficient assessment, learning approach and career oriented content that empower students to get the right job, at the right time. And linkages with companies ensures placement assistance to students.

Samanvaya- College engagement starts with administering the skill Gap Assessment Test (SGAP) for students, jointly with the college authorities at the college campus. This assessment helps students to get understanding of their skill level and ascertain the employability quotient. The SGAP report provides a measure of the student’s strengths and weaknesses in academic process, analytical and software skills. The assessment is followed by a career counseling session.
This training program is conducted after college hours, at the college campus, for the
convenience of students.
College would provide learning infrastructure with Audio and Video (Projector) facilities to
successfully complete the program.
